How to grow:
Start seeds outdoors after the last frost, planting them in well-drained soil and a sunny spot. Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting to improve germination. Plant seeds about 1 inch deep and 18–24 inches apart. Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Trellis or support vining varieties as they grow, and provide ample space for sprawling types. Harvest gourds when they’ve reached full size and the skin feels hard to the touch. For culinary use, pick at a younger, tender stage.

Cách trồng:
Gieo hạt sau khi hết sương giá, chọn nơi nhiều nắng, đất tơi xốp, thoát nước tốt. Ngâm hạt trong nước ấm 24 giờ trước khi gieo để tăng tỷ lệ nảy mầm. Gieo sâu khoảng 2,5 cm, khoảng cách cây 45–60 cm. Tưới nước đều, tránh để đất bị úng. Đối với các loại leo, nên làm giàn, để cây có không gian phát triển. Thu hoạch khi quả đạt kích thước tối đa và vỏ đã cứng. Để ăn ngon, nên thu hái khi quả còn non, mềm.
