How to grow
Start by soaking seeds for 4–6 hours to improve germination. Sow seeds shallow, about 1/4 inch deep, in loose, fertile, well-draining slightly acidic soil. Space seedlings 6–8 inches apart or thin to that spacing after sprouting. Maintain soil temperature between 59 and 77°F and keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Provide full sun; avoid heavy shade. Fertilize lightly with a balanced fertilizer every 3–4 weeks or side-dress with compost. Expect germination in 5–7 days and first harvests in about 30–45 days. For continuous supply, sow every 2–3 weeks. Harvest by cutting stems 3–4 inches above the soil to encourage regrowth; water regularly during hot weather.
